Selank — a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin — is studied for anxiolytic and nootropic activity without sedation. Supplied as NA-Selank, the N-acetyl–stabilized form, in a lyophilized 10 mg research vial, third-party tested and shipped from British Columbia. NA-Selank is currently out of stock — see related in-stock nootropic peptides below.

Section 01 — Definition
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide — Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro — developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is a stabilized analog of tuftsin, an endogenous immunomodulatory tetrapeptide, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence that resists enzymatic breakdown.
Helix North supplies the N-acetylated form, NA-Selank (Selank amidate), which further improves stability for research handling. When people search for Selank, this tuftsin-derived heptapeptide is the compound they mean.
Everything on this page is written for research handling and sourcing — it is not dosing guidance and not for human use. Selank is supplied strictly as a lyophilized research material.

Section 02 — Research
Selank is studied primarily as an anxiolytic and nootropic peptide. Published preclinical and clinical research reports effects on monoamine neurotransmitter metabolism, GABAergic and serotonergic signaling, and expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).
| Research area | Model focus |
|---|---|
| Anxiety | Anxiolytic behavior models |
| Cognition | Memory, learning & BDNF |
| Neurochemistry | Monoamine & GABA modulation |
| Immune | Tuftsin pathway · IL-6 · enkephalins |
A distinctive feature reported in the literature is that Selank shows anxiolytic activity without the sedation or amnestic effects associated with many classic anxiolytics. This is mechanism- and model-level research; none of it is evidence of a human therapeutic effect.
Researchers studying nootropic peptides often pair Selank with Semax, a related peptide from the same Russian research programme. Both are supplied by Helix North strictly as research materials.
Section 03 — Product
Selank is stocked as a lyophilized 10 mg NA-Selank research vial. Each vial ships freeze-dried with a Certificate of Analysis for its specific lot.
Every lot is third-party tested, with peptide content confirmed by amino acid analysis and purity by HPLC. The CoA — including the lot number and chromatogram — is published on the product page so you can review it before ordering. A lot that falls below specification is not released.
NA-Selank is currently out of stock. Researchers can browse related in-stock nootropic peptides such as Semax and Dihexa below, or read how each lot is tested on our lab testing and CoA page.
Section 04 — Handling
NA-Selank ships freeze-dried and is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use. The diluent volume is the only real decision, because it sets the concentration of the finished research stock — concentration is simply mass divided by volume.
Wipe the stopper with an alcohol prep pad, draw the chosen volume of bacteriostatic water into a syringe, and add it slowly down the inside wall of the vial. Swirl gently until dissolved — never shake — then refrigerate at 2 to 8°C. A 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL gives a 5 mg/mL stock. In research, Selank is frequently prepared for intranasal handling.
Our peptide storage and handling guide covers stability in detail. These are reconstitution mechanics for laboratory handling only — not dosing recommendations.
Section 05 — Sourcing
Sourcing Selank domestically removes the two problems that come with an offshore order: the customs wait and the currency markup. A Canadian-domestic shipment never crosses a border, so there is no customs hold and no risk of a package being detained or returned mid-protocol.
Helix North makes its peptides in Canada and ships from British Columbia by Canada Post Xpresspost — 1 to 2 business days on the West Coast, 2 to 4 for central Canada, a flat $30 to any postal code, tracked and in plain packaging. Pricing is in Canadian dollars, so the number on the product page is the number on the receipt.
Selank is legal to purchase and possess for research in Canada and is not a controlled substance. It is supplied strictly as a research material. New here? The Canadian research peptides overview covers testing and shipping across the whole catalog.
